Noratek Solutions is an established high-tech company based in Prince George, BC. Noratek enjoys a reputation as a leading developer of mobile checklist inspection software. We are currently experiencing significant growth, serving clients across Canada and the US. We are seeking a highly trained individual who is looking for a challenging, stimulating work environment but is also interested in the pursuit of leisure activities.
Prince George is known as BC's northern capital and its location at the intersection of highways 16 and 97 has made it a major centre for business, transportation, and services. The city is home to the University of Northern British Columbia and an international airport. It offers easy access to recreation opportunities such as golf courses, ski hills, mountain biking, and four provincial parks. Prince George will be hosting the 2015 Canada Winter Games. RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for the following type of development:
- Adobe Flex based front end
- Flex Air based mobile applications
- Grails based web services
- Oracle database with SQL and some PL/SQL
- Development of reports using a Java based tool
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
- Experience developing Flex applications
- Experience with a Java based IDE
- Knowledge of Oracle or SQLServer or PostGres: SQL (DML, DDL) and PL/SQL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service and results-oriented
